Halo Lit Sign Installation Instructions
Install halo lit letters and logos using the printed pattern, stand-off mounting cups, set screws, EZLit Power Links, and indoor power strip.
Tools Needed
Before You Start
Confirm access to the back side of the wall for power connections
Drill stand-off holes precisely so the cups align with the rods
Use the printed level lines, not the paper edge or letter bottoms
Safety Reminder
Step 1
Place and Level the Pattern
Unroll the pattern and tape it to the wall where the letters will be installed. Check that the letters are level and centered in the area.
Pattern Tip
Do not level with the bottoms of the letters or the edge of the paper. Use the provided level lines only.
Step 2
Drill Stand-Off and Power Holes
Stand-off mounting holes are marked near the center of the letters and logos. Drill pilot holes through the center of each mark for the appropriate fastener.
Drilling Tip
Power holes are marked in the middle of the letters and logos. Drill a 3/4 inch hole completely through the wall to the inside of the building.
Step 3
Install the Letters
Remove the pattern from the wall as soon as possible. Each letter has a sequence sticker on the back showing the order the letters or logos should be installed.
Fasten each cup to the wall using screws appropriate for the wall. Place the screw through the base of the cup and into the pilot hole created from the pattern.
Cup Alignment
Place the letters or logos on the wall, aligning the rods on the back of each letter with the mounted cups. Push the EZLit Power Link through the wall so it can be reached from inside the building.
Once the rods are seated in the cups, tighten the set screws with the supplied Allen wrench. We recommend running the rods all the way into the cups and placing the set screw in the last possible notch.
Step 4
Install the Power Strip
On the back side of the wall, plug each letter into the EZLit Power Strip and EZLit Power Supply. Each Power Link has a colored tag that should match the color tag on the Power Strip.
Apply the included dielectric grease to the metal parts of each plug connection, then plug the EZLit Power Strip into a 110-volt outlet.
Power Supply Safety
Leave a loop of wire hanging below the outlet to help prevent water from running down the cord and into the socket.
