Tools Needed

Safety glasses
Tape
Tape measure
Level
Screws
Drill bits
Screwdriver bit
Electrical box

Before You Start

Confirm access to the back side of the wall for the electrical connection

Use tape that will not damage the wall surface

Use the printed level lines, not the sign bottom or paper edge

Safety Reminder

Wear safety glasses when drilling holes, and consult a qualified installer or electrician when your wall, wiring, or local code requirements are uncertain.

Included with the Sign

The sign includes a paper installation pattern, 1/2 inch seal-tight conduit, and a 1/2 inch nipple to attach to your electrical box.

Step 1

Place and Level the Pattern

Unroll the pattern and tape it to the wall where the sign will be installed. Check that the sign is level and centered in the area.

Pattern Tip

There must be access to the back of the wall to connect 110-volt AC power. For unpainted brick, duct tape can be used, but remove it as soon as the drilling and layout work is complete.

Do not level with the bottom of the sign or the edge of the paper. Use the provided level lines only.

Step 2

Drill Mounting and Power Holes

Mounting holes are marked on the outside of the letters and logos. Drill pilot holes through the center of each mark for the appropriate fastener.

Fastener Guidance

For wood surfaces, galvanized wood screws are commonly used and can be painted to match the wall. For concrete, brick, or cinderblock, Tapcon-style screws are often used. Your hardware store or installer may recommend another fastener for your wall.

Power holes are marked in the middle of the letters and logos. Drill a 3/4 inch hole completely through the wall to the inside of the building.

Step 3

Install the Sign

Remove the pattern from the wall as soon as possible.

Push the AC wires into the flexible conduit included with the sign. Attach the conduit to the nipple on the back of the sign.

While placing the sign on the wall, push the conduit with the AC power wire through the wall so it can be reached from inside the building.

Install the sign on the wall using screws appropriate for the wall. Each screw goes through the mounting tab and into the pilot hole from the pattern.

Electrical Connection

Inside the building, connect AC wires to your 110-volt electrical box as you would any light fixture. Use a qualified electrician when required by code or when wiring conditions are uncertain.
